OFFSHORE RACING IS RETURNING TO PATCHOGUE, NY on August 22 - 24, 2008 for the 2nd stop of the Miss Geico Triple Crown

     Let's start by saying that the Fundraiser Dinner held on May 22, 2008 at The Oar in Patchogue, NY,  was a GREAT success.  The show of support from the town of Patchogue, OPA Racing & Great South Bay Racing was overwhelming.  We thank all that were involved and attended for making this such a success.

     Now let's talk about the race.  It is going to bigger than last year!  The boats will start arriving on Thurday, August 21.  The wet & dry pits will once again be at Shore Front Park.

     Be sure to come to Main Street in Patchogue on Friday, August 22 as all your favorite teams and racers will be there with their boats on display starting at 5:30pm.  So come on down and get some autographed posters and memorabilia.

     On Saturday, August 23 the East Coast Boat Racing Club of New Jersey will be racing their Skiffs and Garveys, there will also be teams testing on the Great South Bay.  So come down and get a preview of what is to be expected on race day.  Vendors will be set up for food, beverages and more, so bring the entire family!  Be sure to be at the Shore Front Park Band Shell at 5:30pm as there will be live entertainment!  Rumor has it there will be some Rock 'n' Roll Racers at the Band Shell . And later on that night you can meet the the racers once again at the supporting Bars & Restaurant in the Village of Patchogue.

     Let's talk about RACE DAY!!!   Sunday, August 24th, is going to be the biggest day yet!  Great South Bay Racing welcomes OPA Racing, The Jersey Boyz, and the Pro Series. Race Day this year will include 3 separate races.  Approximate start times are: Race 1 @ 12pm, Race 2 @ 1:45pm and Race 3 @ 3:15pm (race starts are subject to adjustments).
